Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves performing essential excavation, utility installation, and equipment operation tasks to support various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating construction machinery, performing utility work, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and efficient project execution. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as loaders and other construction equipment to perform excavation and utility installation tasks. Conduct underground utility locating to accurately identify existing underground infrastructure before excavation. Drive commercial trucks as needed for transporting materials and equipment to job sites. Assist with construction utility work, including installation and maintenance of underground utilities. Follow all equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Perform routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal operation. Support excavation activities, including site preparation and trenching, adhering to project specifications. Assist with general labor tasks on-site, contributing to the overall progress of construction projects. Experience Prior experience operating construction machinery such as loaders or similar equipment is preferred. Knowledge of underground utility installation, utility locating, and mechanical systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with safety procedures related to equipment operation and construction sites is essential. Mechanical aptitude for maintaining and troubleshooting construction machinery is a plus. Previous experience in excavation, utility work, or related construction roles will be beneficial. Pay:
