Job Title:
Plumber Apprentice Job Description We are seeking a plumber apprentice to work on both commercial and industrial projects. This role involves installing and building valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial settings. The successful candidate will work with water and gas supply lines, as well as sanitation/sewage lines. The role requires proficiency in cutting, welding, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures to install them into existing systems. Additionally, the plumber will troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve any issues that arise during installation, ensuring equipment functions properly and customer satisfaction is achieved. Responsibilities Install and build valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial settings. Work with water and gas supply lines, as well as sanitation/sewage lines. Cut, weld, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures for installation into existing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation to ensure equipment functionality and customer satisfaction. Work primarily with PVC, CPVC, PEX, and copper tubing. Build connections to main mains. Essential Skills 6+ months of plumbing experience. OSHA 10 certification. Experience in construction, pipe fitting, plumbing, blueprint reading, piping, threading, welding, PVC, brazing, and installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Reliable transportation. Ability to work with blueprints and layouts. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work on commercial and industrial job sites, requiring OSHA certification. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 am and ending at 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime. Employees will work in teams of 2-3 technicians under a foreman or lead and will commute directly to the job site or ride along with the crew, depending on the project. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
