Our success relies on a coordinated effort involving inter-disciplinary collaboration to solve complex problems. While we rely on many individual's core strengths to complete tasks and projects, each team member shares responsibility for project success. The Automation technician has knowledge in one or several of the following areas: fabrication, welding, saw cutting, mechanical assembly, and field wiring. An Automation Technician is also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as supervision deems necessary. This is a general labor position.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A reliable, safety-conscious person with hands-on mechanical aptitude. You may have a year or two of shop, trade-school, military, or hobbyist experience (fabrication, welding, wiring, mechanical assembly). You can follow directions, work carefully to print, and can move between different tasks efficiently. The work may differ from day to day or even hour to hour. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: 1. Operate manual equipment. Band saw, angle grinders, drills, and other miscellaneous tools. 2. Manufacture components or assemblies to project specifications under direction of Shop Manager and Shop Lead. 3. Pull cable and route air lines to machine equipment. 4. Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics to determine specific requirements. 5. Quality control through the assembly process is required in each process. 6. Maintain a safe working area and environment at all times. 7. Follow instruction carefully.
Job requirements:
1. Applicants must be a Citizen of United States. Age 18 or older. Hourly position. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for employment is required. A high school or GED diploma is required. Ability to read a tape measurer. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Must be willing to work within a team orientated environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), flexibility, and the ability to get along with others. Must be able to lift 50 pounds 11. Has the ability to reach, bend, stoop or twist repetitively, and sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to use basic hand tools and wear the appropriate PPE. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
