POSITION SUMMARY
McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Laborer for an exciting project in Aubrey, TX . In this role, you will support our experienced carpenters by moving materials, maintain a clean jobsite, and measure/cut concrete forming systems for large concrete pours in commercial, civil, or marine environments. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of proven experience as a laborer in large construction sites. RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participate in Task Hazard Analysis (THA) meetings Utilize common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.) Successfully complete required training to use personal arrest system Assist carpenters with installation of form systems Properly measure, mark, and cut various materials
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with self-perform concrete work in commercial, civil, or marine environments Understand construction terminology Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools Proven commitment to Safety Work in an organized manner Able to work night shifts when needed Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site Ability to work independently and follow instructions Must be self-motivated and can work well with others Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces Minimum age 18+ Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
