Job Description We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Vinyl Installer to support on-site and in-shop graphics installations for events, experiential marketing activations, signage, scenic environments, and custom fabrication projects. This is a freelance/contract position hired on a per-project basis. The Vinyl Installer works closely with the Print Shop Manager, project leads, and installation teams to execute clean, accurate, professional graphic installations on time and to spec. The ideal candidate has hands-on vinyl installation experience, works efficiently under tight timelines, takes pride in precise finished work, and is comfortable working at changing job sites and event venues. Key Responsibilities Vinyl Installation & Application Install printed and cut vinyl graphics on walls, windows, floors, signage, scenic elements, displays, vehicles, and other custom surfaces. Apply a variety of vinyl materials, including adhesive vinyl, wall films, window graphics, decals, and other specialty graphic films. Measure, position, level, align, seam, and apply graphics accurately according to provided layouts, elevations, or field conditions. Execute clean, bubble-free, wrinkle-free installations with consistent seams, edges, and alignment. Use appropriate wet or dry application techniques, tools, and methods based on the material and substrate. Site Preparation & Installation Planning Inspect installation surfaces and site conditions before application and communicate any concerns that may affect the finished result. Properly prep surfaces through cleaning, measuring, marking, leveling, and priming when required. Verify graphic dimensions, orientation, panel order, and placement before beginning installation. Coordinate with the Print Shop Manager, Project Manager, or on-site lead regarding install sequence, access, timing, and site constraints. Identify potential installation issues early and communicate solutions before they impact schedule or quality. Quality Control & Finishing Inspect graphics before and during installation for damage, print defects, incorrect sizing, or material issues. Trim and finish graphics cleanly around edges, corners, hardware, windows, doors, and other site conditions. Perform final quality-control checks and correct bubbles, lifting edges, alignment issues, or other imperfections before completion. Tools, Materials & Jobsite Care Maintain and properly use installation tools including squeegees, knives, heat guns, tape measures, levels, ladders, and related equipment. Handle and protect printed graphics during transport, staging, and installation to prevent creasing, contamination, or damage. Keep work areas organized and clean, and protect client property, finished surfaces, and surrounding areas during installation. Team Communication & Event Installation Communicate progress, problems, material issues, and field changes clearly to the Print Shop Manager and on-site project lead. Work collaboratively with Cinco Made fabrication and installation teams during event setups, scenic installs, and strikes. Assist with removal/strike of vinyl graphics after events and provide occasional hands-on installation support outside of vinyl work as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of professional vinyl, signage, graphics, vehicle wrap, or related installation experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to install large-format graphics cleanly and accurately on a variety of surfaces. Experience with wall wraps, windows, floors, dimensional signage, scenic elements, or vehicle graphics is a strong plus. Strong measuring, layout, alignment, trimming, and finishing skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with an installation crew. Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and pride in high-quality finished work. Ability to follow verbal and written directions (English) and interpret basic layouts, measurements, and install drawings. Requirements Positive attitude with the ability to adapt and problem-solve under tight deadlines and changing site conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Cinco Made shop and local job sites. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, early mornings, and outdoors when required for installations. Ability to travel overnight for multiple days at a time for event installations and strikes. Work Environment Combination of shop, event venue, client site, and outdoor work. Fast-paced, project-based environment with evolving schedules, site conditions, and deadlines. Frequent local installations and occasional travel or multi-day installations may be required.

Job Type:

Freelance/Contract - Hired on a per-project basis. Commitments may range from a couple hours, few days, to several weeks at a time, depending on project scope and installation schedule.

Pay:
