Job Description
Skilled Laborer Job Description This role supports a precast and infrastructure facility that builds aluminum forms used by construction companies to pour concrete. As a Skilled Laborer, you work with hand and power tools, shape rebar, assemble and move concrete forms, and help maintain a clean and safe worksite in a manufacturing environment that closely resembles a construction site. Responsibilities Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to support daily production activities. Shape, cut, and prepare rebar to meet specific project and form requirements. Build and assemble aluminum boxes and other concrete forms according to specifications. Move, position, and stage forms and other heavy materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Assist with general site clean up, including removing debris and organizing materials to maintain a safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while working in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment. Support production workflows by performing general labor tasks related to construction, concrete, and precast operations. Complete other duties and tasks as assigned to ensure projects are delivered on time and to quality standards. Essential Skills Experience using hand tools and power tools in a construction, manufacturing, or general labor environment. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with construction, concrete, or precast work processes and job site practices. Comfort working in an indoor/outdoor environment that resembles a construction site. Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and contribute to a team-oriented production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working for a construction, concrete, and/or precast company preferred. in general labor, construction, or production work is an asset. Experience with concrete form building and rebar shaping is beneficial. Reliability and willingness to work overtime when needed. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality. Work Environment You work in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing facility that closely resembles a construction site, with exposure to typical site conditions. The schedule is a day shift starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m., running 8-10 hours Monday through Friday, with fairly regular half days on Saturdays. Required safety gear such as hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest is provided, while you supply your own steel-toe boots and met guards are provided. The environment is hands-on, safety-focused, and centered around concrete and precast production using hand and power tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
