Available Help for . Academy Venetian Blinds Co., Inc. is a long-established, family-owned window treatment and security products business in Corpus Christi, Texas, specializing in blinds, shutters, storm doors, and hurricane protection systems. Seeking Laborer Assists lead installers in the installation of storm shutters, hurricane shutters, or other protective window coverings. The role supports both the technical and customer-facing aspects of the job, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Must have skills and knowledge in operating tools such as drills.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work office.
Criminal record will be checked; Drug test will be required.
Key Responsibilities Installation Support:
Assist with installing storm shutters according to work orders, manufacturer specifications, quality, and safety guidelines.
Preparation & Logistics:
View daily schedules, load/unload trucks with products, tools, and equipment.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with customers, address concerns, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow OSHA safety standards, report safety, customer, or quality issues, and maintain a clean, safe work site
Tool Use:
Operate hand and power tools safely, load/unload materials, and work at heights (e.g., swing stage)
Team Support:
Follow instructions, assist lead installers, and complete projects on schedule.
Experience:
Residential hurricane shutter experience is helpful but not always required; employer will train.
Physical Abilities:
Ability to work outdoors, lift heavy materials, and work at heights
Pay:
$14.00 per hour
