10 Holiday Lighting Laborers needed for temporary, full-time employment.
Job Duties and Requirements:
Works in holiday light installations. Job duties include but are not limited to performing a variety of tasks such as organizing and preparing stock of holiday decor material, installing and/or removing materials from jobsites, loading and unloading materials and preparing for storage. Additionally, the job requires loading and unloading materials and equipment, of which lifting of up to 50 pounds is necessary. The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by an employer to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The worker environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Depending on the specific function of the holiday light laborer, the environment may vary between being indoors and outdoors. Applicants are required to have at least three months experience in holiday lighting laborer and be physically capable of performing the job duties prior to hire. Employer will offer a minimum of 40 hours per week, Sunday-Saturday. The shifts will either be from 8am to 5pm or 9pm to 6am. Overtime is required as necessary in order to keep up with the consumer demand. Workers are needed to begin work on 10/01/2026 through 02/28/2027. No education required. 3 months previous experience required. Lifting required up to 50 lbs.
Worksite Location:
Work will be performed at multiple worksites within the counties of Bastrop, Bell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson.
Wage Offer and Availability of Overtime Pay:
Workers will be paid no less than $24.48 per hour. Overtime pay with be time and a half.
On-the-Job Training:
On-the-job training will not be provided to the worker.
Single Workweek for pay:
The employer will use a single workweek, Monday through Sunday, as its standard for computing wages due.
Frequency of Pay:
Workers will be paid every other Friday (biweekly).
Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities:
The employer does not provide board, lodging, or other facilities as a term or condition of employment. If an overnight stay is required because the assigned job site is sufficiently distant from the employee's normal reporting location, the Employer will provide or pay for lodging for the period during which the overnight stay is required. Although the Employer does not provide housing to employees, upon an employee's request, the Employer may assist the employee in securing housing by providing a payroll advance, if needed. Any payroll advance is provided solely as a convenience to the employee and will be repaid through payroll deductions authorized in writing by the employee and made in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Workers Paycheck:
The employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law. Any payroll advances issued as housing advances will be deducted from a workers future payroll after the worker completes a payroll deduction authorization form.
Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence:
Transportation (including meals, and to the extent necessary, lodging) to place of employment will be arranged for and paid by Decor IQ if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be paid for by Decor IQ if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by Decor IQ. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Daily Transportation:
The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite from designated routes. Optional transportation will be provided to and from area worksites at employers expenses from a centralized pick-up location at 113 East 8th Street, Georgetown, TX 78626. The employer does not provide board, lodging, or other facilities as a term or condition of employment. If an overnight stay is required because the assigned job site is sufficiently distant from the employee's normal reporting location, the Employer will provide or pay for lodging for the period during which the overnight stay is required.
First Workweek Reimbursement:
Décor IQ will reimburse workers for visa, visa processing, border crossing and related fees, including those mandared by the government (excluding passport fees and charges primarily for the workers benefit), within the first workweek.
Provisions of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment:
The employer will provide workers, at no charge or deposit, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 3/4th
Guarantee:
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each of the 12-week periods of the total employment period. Workers who are terminated for cause or who voluntarily abandon their job are not entitled to this guarantee if the employer provides timely notification to the National Processing Center and Department of Homeland Security.
