Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Precast Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the manufacturing and installation of precast concrete elements used in building projects. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that precast components are produced efficiently, safely, and to exact specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in concrete work, formwork, and construction site operations while contributing to high-quality infrastructure projects. Duties Assist in the setup and assembly of formwork and molds for precast concrete components, ensuring accuracy according to blueprints and schematics Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, and position concrete forms and reinforcement materials such as rebar Support the pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete elements, adhering strictly to safety protocols and quality standards Handle heavy lifting tasks involving precast panels, rebar, and other materials while maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury Participate in the installation of rebar and metal stud framing as specified in construction plans and schematics Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and ensuring safety regulations are followed at all times Collaborate with team members on construction projects including restoration, renovation, or new builds involving concrete forming, stucco application, or roofing support Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and heavy equipment Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for formwork construction and installation procedures Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to precast components and general construction workplace safety regulations Skilled in rebar installation, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, caulking, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, and masonry work Familiarity with construction plans for heavy lifting operations involving cranes or other lifting equipment Experience interpreting technical specifications for metal stud framing, roof support systems, or wall assemblies Demonstrated ability to work on construction sites safely while adhering to all safety protocols including OSHA standards Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks consistently while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts
