Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Underground Utility Laborer and play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing essential underground utility systems. This energetic position involves working on construction sites to ensure the safe and efficient installation of sanitary sewer lines, stormwater systems, water supply networks, and other underground utilities. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will help keep communities connected and infrastructure functioning smoothly. We're looking for motivated individuals eager to contribute to impactful projects while following strict safety protocols and construction standards. Responsibilities Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and wastewater systems. Follow blueprint specifications and construction plans accurately to ensure proper pipe installation and utility trenching. Perform construction trenching activities while adhering to safety regulations and federal construction safety standards. Conduct pipe installation using pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure proper alignment and elevation. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools and waste materials in compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications Knowledge of utility trenching, pipe installation, sewer line installation, and underground utilities is essential is a (PLUS). Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately is a (PLUS). Familiarity with utility locating equipment and techniques for identifying underground utilities is a (PLUS). Experience working with wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, stormwater systems, or water supply networks is a (PLUS). Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence on job sites is a (PLUS). Skilled in the use of hand tools for various construction tasks. Knowledge of pipeline installation processes using pipe lasers or laser-guided equipment for precision work is a (PLUS). Construction site experience demonstrating safe practices in trenching, pipe laying, or utility system setup is highly valued is a (PLUS).
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
