Job Description
Skillforce is seeking dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborers for a 6 week project in Irving, TX . This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside a respected contractor supporting maintenance operations on specialized cooling equipment used in large industrial facilities and data centers. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong mechanical aptitude, and can follow detailed instructions while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. Skilled Laborers will work under the direction of a Lead Field Technician and assist with daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance activities on outdoor industrial cooling equipment Spray and rinse condenser units with water to remove dirt, debris, and buildup Remove and replace air filtration components as directed Operate hand tools and basic maintenance equipment safely and effectively Follow instructions from the Lead Field Technician and established work procedures Support safe, efficient completion of daily project tasks Maintain clean and organized work areas Adhere to all site-specific safety requirements and company policies Report issues, delays, safety concerns, and submit accurate daily timekeeping (clock in/out) to the Lead Field Technician Qualifications Previous experience in general labor, HVAC, maintenance, construction, or similar hands-on work preferred Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn new processes quickly Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required Ability to pass a background check Required Certification OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Benefits Competitive pay up to $30/hour depending on experience Consistent project-based work with a reputable contractor Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Employee Referral Bonus Program If you have strong mechanical skills and attention to detail, we encourage you to apply today to learn more about this opportunity. #skilltravel
