stxprocess.com STX Process Equipment (STX) is accepting applications for a Laborer Summary Responsible for completing construction duties assigned by crew pusher, dispatch and/or company representatives.
Responsibilities:
Fulfill all regular construction duties. Assist in completing projects within established guidelines and time frames. Cooperate with supervisors in the shop and in field. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Follow all client-required safety policies and procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements. Attend and actively participate in company safety meetings, JSAs and training as required. Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition and cooperates with other departments in housekeeping endeavors. Work safely in remote locations throughout South Texas.
Knowledge, Skills Knowledge :
A basic understanding of the operations of production equipment. Basic knowledge of completing a Job Safety Analysis. Tools, Equipment and Devices used on the job.
Skills:
Operates hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, hoes, rakes, shovels, etc. Operates power tools such as electric drills, power mills, small gas engine equipment, electric saws, and pneumatic tools.
Working Conditions Primarily:
Outdoors Physical Demands Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas. Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds. Environmental Conditions Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather condition, such as cold, wind and possible extreme heat. Academic & Trades Qualifications High School diploma or GED with one-five years' experience in the Oil & Gas Industry STX is an equal opportunity employer.
