Port Roofing is looking for a dependable, hardworking Service Helper to join our Commercial Roofing Service Department. This is a hands-on field position assisting our service technicians with commercial roof repairs, maintenance, inspections, and leak calls. This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to work, learn the roofing trade, and grow within the company. Roofing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Assist Service Technicians with commercial roof repairs and maintenance Help identify and repair roof leaks and damaged areas Carry tools, materials, ladders, and equipment to and from work areas Assist with roof inspections and preventative maintenance Keep job sites, service vehicles, and work areas clean and organized Safely use basic hand and power tools Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements Work outdoors in various weather conditions Climb ladders and safely work at heights Travel to different customer locations as assigned Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers Perform other roofing and service-related duties as needed Qualifications Must be dependable and report to work on time Must be comfortable working on commercial rooftops and at heights Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying roofing materials and equipment Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions Willingness to learn commercial roofing systems and repair techniques Ability to follow directions and work as part of a crew Roofing, construction, maintenance, or general labor experience is preferred but not required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Must follow company safety policies and procedures What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, and is willing to learn. The right candidate does not need to know everything about commercial roofing on day one. We are looking for someone who can take direction, work safely, and become a reliable part of our Service Department.
