In this vital role, you will assist in a variety of hands-on tasks essential to the successful completion of residential fencing construction projects. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will help ensure that projects progress smoothly, efficiently, and safely from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to large-scale construction endeavors. Duties Assist with the interpretation of construction plans and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently. Support erosion control efforts by implementing measures to prevent soil erosion on site. Operate power tools and basic equipment for tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling materials under supervision. Conduct routine equipment repair and maintenance to ensure tools and machinery are in optimal working condition. Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection protocols, and climbing safety procedures. Implement construction plans accurately while adhering to safety regulations and project timelines. Requirements Prior experience in industrial or construction environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings with clarity. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety practices. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards related to industrial construction sites. Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus. Ability to work at heights, climb ladders or scaffolding safely, and use respiratory protection when required. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.
