Job Description
Pace Graphics is seeking a highly motivated team player who is outgoing and enthusiastic for a position as a Wall Paper Installer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful installation and removal work of new and old signs. Preparation and installation of vinyl graphics, pasted wall coverings, window frost and installation of large-format wall graphics.
Essential job responsibilities:
- Must have 2+ years of sign and pasted wall covering installation experience including wall wraps and window frost.
- Ability to directly communicate with client through email and telephone in a professional manner.
- Work with manager on understanding of the drawings, installation instructions and the overall project.
- Knowledge of installation substrates and processes to determine the safest and most reliable means of installation.
- Know and understand the process for locating where signs are to be installed, ensure that specific sign locations and surfaces are ready for sign installation.
- Document the process by which the client takes responsibility for the final location and position of every sign type, whenever possible.
- Account for completed sign components, hardware, installation patterns and permits to prepare for the specified installation.
- Take all necessary precautions to handle, move, transport and install finished signage in top quality condition.
- Update the general manager on daily progress.
- Check vehicles routinely for safety and performance. Notify the appropriate individual regarding suggested maintenance before a malfunction occurs.
- Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings, site plans, and floor plans. Correspond sign location and orientation details, as shown in drawings, to physical reference points.
- Ability to travel and work out of town job sites, overtime, weekend or night work, as site conditions dictate.
- Good math and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated the ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency.
- Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
- Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives and goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years' experience installing signs and graphics.
- Vehicle wrap experience is preferred.
- Experience with various lifts and scaffolding.
- Must have driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Able to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work
- Able to stand/kneel for long periods of time.
- General familiarity with safe operation of power equipment and general construction tools/methods.
- Ability to fulfill projects in wide temperature variances and exterior weather conditions.
- Safely climb ladders/scaffolding and operate hydraulic lift equipment as needed.
