Role Description The Laborer role at KneeDeep Construction is a full-time, on-site position located in the San Antonio Area. The Laborer supports excavation work by performing tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling, moving materials, and assisting equipment operators. This role involves loading and unloading tools and supplies, maintaining a clean and safe job site, and following all safety procedures and instructions from supervisors and forepersons. The Laborer may help set up and take down work areas, use basic hand and power tools, and support electrical contractors by preparing work zones and ensuring access to underground spaces. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing for extended periods, and lifting and carrying materials throughout the workday. Qualifications Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, digging, and standing or walking for long periods. Comfort working outdoors in different weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Basic knowledge of hand tools and willingness to learn to use power tools and small equipment safely. Commitment to following safety guidelines, using personal protective equipment, and adhering to company policies. Reliable transportation to job sites in the San Antonio Area and consistent, on-time attendance. Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to follow directions from supervisors and experienced crew members. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required; prior construction or excavation experience is a plus. Ability to pass any required background checks or screenings in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
