This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial renovations to new builds, utilizing your hands-on skills and construction knowledge. As a Construction Laborer, you will assist with various tasks that keep projects moving smoothly and safely, contributing to high-quality results and a productive work environment. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, finishing, and formwork construction. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans. Perform tasks related to concrete work including rebar installation, concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and cutting. Support masonry, stucco application, roofing, carpentry (including trim carpentry and framing), metal stud framing, and tile laying projects. Follow safety protocols diligently by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with heavy lifting, material transportation via commercial driving where qualified, and operation of heavy machinery as needed. Contribute to restoration or renovation projects by performing demolition, plastering, caulking, or other finishing tasks. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, or concrete work. Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and schematics is a plus. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices in a busy construction environment. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and other relevant equipment. Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working in diverse weather conditions. Valid driver's license for commercial driving (preferred but not mandatory).
