Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Laborer to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role combines hands-on welding expertise with practical labor duties to support metal fabrication projects across various construction and manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high safety standards while delivering quality craftsmanship. You will play a vital role in interpreting technical drawings, assembling components, and ensuring all welding and fabrication work adheres to industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment that values precision, safety, and teamwork. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to accurately execute fabrication tasks. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and measuring tapes to ensure precise cuts and assemblies of sheet metal, pipe threading, and other metal materials. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and gas metal arc welding equipment safely and efficiently. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, welding, grinding, and assembling parts in accordance with technical specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting tools and equipment regularly. Assist in the interpretation of technical drawings for mechanical fabrication projects involving sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, and assembly tasks. Support the fabrication shop by preparing materials, measuring components accurately, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge and precision welding skills to meet project deadlines.
