Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welder Helper/Laborer and be a vital part of our fabrication and construction projects! This energetic role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in welding support, site labor, and equipment handling while working on diverse projects that keep your days engaging and rewarding. You will assist skilled welders and tradespeople in preparing materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring safety standards are met. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, grow, and contribute to high-quality fabrication and construction work. Responsibilities Assist welders with setting up workstations, handling materials, and positioning components for welding tasks Support welding operations by preparing pipes, fittings, and structural elements using hand tools and power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and ensure accurate assembly Operate basic machinery such as saws, forklifts, and tube benders to meet project specifications Maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing debris, tools, and materials on-site Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards Support rigging, lifting, and moving heavy materials or equipment safely around the construction or manufacturing site Skills Knowledge of MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and welding techniques Experience with welding, cutting, is a plus Ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and technical drawings accurately Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during assembly or fabrication processes Understanding of schematics related to manufacturing or construction projects Experience with rigging, tube bending, maintenance tasks, or construction site operations is highly desirable Join us in building quality structures while advancing your skills in a supportive environment that values safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork. Pay:
