Job Description

Position:
Pile Driver Pay Range:
$18-$28 dependent on experience Position is starting in
VA Travel:
MD, DC, VA
We are currently looking for Geotechnical Skilled Laborers focused on pile driving and auger cast to join our Geotechnical Group in locations throughout the Mid Atlantic. Work is performed outdoors year round. Employees will be exposed to wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather conditions. This individual must have the ability to communicate and work well with others. Construction experience in earth work, auger cast, pile driving, drilling, concrete, tiebacks, welding and small tool operation is preferred. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Wagman is a multi-faceted construction firm with major operations in heavy civil, general construction and geotechnical construction services. Wagman is a fourth generation, family-owned company with offices in Pennsylvania and Virginia and is headquartered in York, PA. Founded in 1902, Wagman is a nationally recognized leader in the industry.
Core competencies include:
design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is preferred Reliable transportation and Valid Drivers License is required Construction experience is required, preferably in concrete, pile driving, foundation work, or earth retention systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Job Functions:
Arrive to project site on-time and participate in job discussions and daily safety meetings Carry, load, or unload materials; rigging experience helpful Welding certification is helpful Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jack hammers or other construction related equipment as required Mark depth of piles driven and help set up test piles Operate and maintain construction related equipment when needed (Concrete pumps, grout machines, compressors) Work with hoses for all types of machines on the job site Assist with rigging, signaling, setting up drill rigs, or piles Responsible for safety of self and others; Required to wear proper jobsite PPE as directed
Physical Requirements:
