In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting construction projects through skilled operation of heavy machinery and site work..This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction machinery operation, and site preparation while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks, preferred but not mandatory. Assist with construction utility work including utility locating, installation support, and utility trenching. Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Shovel, rake and spread dirt, gravel and other materials to achieve proper grade. Set up and utilize grade stakes, stings, and lasers; assist in checking elevations and slope. Drive commercial trucks as needed for material delivery or equipment transport, adhering to all commercial driving laws. Collaborate with team members on site to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Skills Some experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery. Assist with site clearance, earthwork, and sub grades. Ability to perform construction utility work including utility locating and excavation . Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Skilled in construction grading techniques and site preparation activities. Experience with construction site operations, including backhoe operation and general utility work on large-scale projects.
