Construction Laborer

Job Overview R&R Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Handyman / Construction Technician to assist with a wide range of residential repair and improvement projects. This role will initially focus on general handyman tasks , with opportunities to grow into larger, more skilled construction projects as the company expands and as your experience develops. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job—someone interested in building skills, increasing responsibility, and growing with a company long-term . Primary Responsibilities (Starting Phase - Handyman Work) Basic home repairs (drywall, trim, doors, hardware) Plumbing fixture replacements (faucets, toilets, shower heads) Light electrical work (fixtures, switches, outlets) Caulking, sealing, and general maintenance tasks Assisting with small installations (LVP flooring, backsplashes, etc.) Job site prep and cleanup Loading/unloading materials and tools Communicating professionally with clients when needed Growth Responsibilities (Advanced Phase - Construction Work) As experience and trust are built, responsibilities will expand to include: Framing and structural repairs Deck and fence construction Tile installation and flooring systems Exterior work (siding, trim, drainage solutions) Reading basic plans and executing scopes of work Leading small jobs or managing portions of projects Qualifications Preferred (not required): Experience in construction or skilled trades Knowledge of multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site What We're Looking For Someone hungry to learn and grow Takes pride in quality workmanship Shows up on time and communicates well Can adapt to different types of work day-to-day Wants to move from basic handyman work → skilled contractor-level work Compensation & Growth Pay based on experience and skill level Opportunities for raises based on performance Potential to grow into: Lead technician Project manager role Higher-paying skilled trade work Responsibilities Assist skilled tradespeople by carrying materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas on-site Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing work zones for safety and efficiency Perform basic tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and loading/unloading materials Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members Support the installation of structural components, fixtures, and other building elements as directed Operate hand tools and small machinery under supervision, adhering to safety standards at all times Maintain cleanliness of the worksite by disposing of waste materials and keeping tools organized Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment

Pay:

$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
