A Construction Helper or Worker works at construction sites and projects. Works as a skilled trades worker such as bricklayer, carpenter, painter, electrician or mason, or operates construction equipment.
We are hiring a Material Runner/Construction Helper responsible for supporting crews by ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are delivered accurately and on time to job sites. This position plays a key role in maintaining organized jobsites, managing inventory, assisting with general labor tasks, and helping crews remain productive throughout the construction process.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, dependable, physically capable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.
Primary tasks:
Deliver construction materials, tools, and equipment to active job sites according to daily schedules. Pick up materials from suppliers and verify orders for accuracy before delivery. Load, unload, and safely transport materials while preventing damage. Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas, trailers, and company vehicles. Assist with inventory management, including stocking commonly used materials and notifying management of low inventory. Assemble and stage materials for upcoming projects. Retrieve specialty tools and equipment as requested by field crews. Assist construction crews with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, material handling, and other general labor tasks as needed. Turn in receipts after pickup of materials or equipment. Inspect company vehicles and trailers, reporting maintenance needs promptly. Ensure vehicles, trailers, and equipment are clean, fueled, and ready for daily operations. Follow all company safety policies and safe driving practices. Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners, suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in construction, warehousing, delivery, or general labor preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to safely operate pickup trucks, cargo vans, and trailers preferred. Ability to pass background and drug screening if required. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequently. Ability to load, unload, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Attention to detail when handling materials and deliveries. Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated. Excellent communication and teamwork.
Compensation & Benefits:
