Position We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Laborer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with solid excavation experience who understands construction, can think ahead, and takes ownership of their work. Responsibilities Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with residential and commercial septic system installations. Read and follow grade stakes, plans, and elevations. Install utilities, drainage systems, and underground piping. Perform site preparation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and compaction. Set tanks, catch basins, structures, and retaining wall materials. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Work alongside a small crew while maintaining a positive attitude. Represent Donogh Dynamics professionally with customers and inspectors.
Qualifications Required:
Previous excavation equipment operating experience. Experience with residential excavation or septic installation. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to work safely with minimal supervision. Good communication skills. Professional references from previous employers.
Preferred:
Experience installing septic systems. Utility installation experience. Experience reading construction plans and grades. Experience with GPS or laser grading equipment.
