$23 28/ hr (weekly pay) Job Description We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Assembler who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials according to plans and specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in understanding written and verbal instructions and possess experience in carpentry or roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly. This role requires maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Assemble structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting. Operate hand and power tools effectively. Accurately use measuring devices including squares and tape measures. Participate in safe material handling and suspended load movements. Follow instructions and execute assigned duties efficiently. Complete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are met. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, repair, assembly, installation, and cutting. High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in siding/roofing/metalworking or assembly. Ability to select and operate proper tools for tasks. Skillful operation of non-specialized shop equipment. Ability to read tape measure down to 1/16th inch. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read blueprints is highly desirable. Industrial assemblers are preferred over small part/electrical assemblers. Positive attitude is crucial; negative individuals are not tolerated. Work Environment The work environment includes exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors within an open-air building. The role requires full mobility in upper and lower body, ability to reach overhead, and work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. You will use your hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and lift, pull, and push material and equipment, with a lifting requirement of up to 70 pounds. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
