Part-Time Precast/Construction Laborer Barranco Construction Spokane, WA Job Details Part-time From $20 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off On-the-job training Qualifications Forklift High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Part-Time (30-40hrs) Precast/Construction Laborer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving commercial precast concrete production, residential construction, and specialized commercial multifamily projects. The primary focus of this role will be learning and participating in the complete commercial precast production process. You will assist with day-to-day operations in our precast facility while developing the skills and knowledge needed to take on increasing responsibility. As you gain experience, there will be opportunities to become more independent and capable of operating various aspects of production on your own. While this position begins part-time, full-time hours and overtime may be available during busy periods. When needed, you will also assist with the construction of single-family homes from the ground up, as well as specialized aspects of commercial and multifamily construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, physically capable, and eager to learn. As part of a small and growing precast concrete company, you will gain firsthand experience across multiple areas of the construction industry, develop valuable trade skills, and have the opportunity to grow alongside the company.
Responsibilities:
Operate basic hand and power tools like saws, drills, grinders, etc. (training provided) Prepare molds, forms, and surfaces for casting concrete products Mix and pour concrete into molds following proper procedures Operate machinery like , Skid steers, Scales, concrete mixers, vibrators, and power tools Finish precast concrete products by smoothing surfaces, Edging, finishing, applying sealants, etc. Load and unload precast concrete products using forklifts Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment Load, unload, and transfer construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work sites Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers and other skilled trades as needed Build Concrete Forms for Porches, sidewalks, driveways, etc Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other materials
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior construction experience is a plus, but not required (will train) Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions Attention to detail to produce high-quality precast concrete products Punctuality and reliability is a must Strong work ethic and time management skills Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Starting pay is $20 per hour, with opportunities for raises based on demonstrated proficiency, performance, and reliability, as determined by management. Employment will begin with a 90-day introductory and disciplinary probationary period. Full-time hours and potential overtime may also be available during busy periods.

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
