Responsibilities Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized workspace Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to blueprints and specifications Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like concrete mixing, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction Prepare and pour concrete using concrete mixers and pumps; install rebar and reinforce structures as needed Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of work Handle heavy lifting of materials such as concrete blocks, rebar, formwork components, and flooring materials while adhering to safety protocols Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site Requirements Prior experience working on construction projects or in related trades such as carpentry or masonry is highly preferred Mechanical knowledge related to tools, equipment operation, and basic maintenance Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation techniques Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not required Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and protocol adherence Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the workday Experience working with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, pumps, and other construction equipment Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in renovation, restoration, stucco application, caulking, flooring installation, plastering, and heavy-duty tasks This role offers an exciting chance to grow your career in construction by gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.
