Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our construction team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support excavation, grading, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites while honing your skills in equipment operation and maintenance. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, water trucks and dump trucks to perform excavation, grading, utility installation. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating and installation to support project infrastructure needs. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Support site preparation activities by performing excavation and grading tasks with precision using appropriate machinery. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while maintaining high safety standards and quality workmanship. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including federal OSHA standards and equipment safety procedures. Ability to perform construction utility work such as utility locating and installation accurately. Strong understanding of construction grading techniques and excavation processes. Construction site experience with a focus on heavy equipment operation and utility infrastructure projects.
