About Us Family Centered Services of Alaska (FCSA) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) corporation founded in 1989 by Fairbanks, Alaska community members committed to helping children with a wide spectrum of behavioral and mental health needs. Today, FCSA has over 100 employees dedicated to our mission of providing unconditional care to children and their families. FCSA provides behavioral and mental health services to youth aged 5-19. Services include outpatient therapy, education, foster care, and short or long-term residential treatment. FCSA is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and was one of the first organizations to be licensed by the state to establish, recruit, and monitor foster homes. Smart Start Learning Center is a subsidiary of FCSA and provides daytime care to families in our community. About the Job Family Centered Services of Alaska (FCSA) is searching for a qualified individual to fill the REACH Site Manager role. This is a live-in position . The REACH Live-In Site Manager is responsible for the overall smooth functioning of the REACH home and providing therapeutic rehabilitation services for youth enrolled each week at Family Centered Services Respite Home. The successful candidate will receive free housing and other considerations in accordance with their "Occupancy License Agreement". This position may also require the use of your personal vehicle. Proof of vehicle insurance will be requested at the time of hire.

Responsibilities:

Creates and maintains a detailed weekly schedule of client recreational and educational activities. Motivates and encourages children to comply with treatment plan. Maintain required reporting and charting, per FCSA policy. Comply with State of Alaska licensing regulations and/or federal laws. Responsible for the purchase of home supplies and groceries. Ensure communication with the REACH Program Manager for facility repairs. Provide OJT training and orientation for newly hired REACH staff. Coordinates with professionals such as school district personnel, Social Workers, Juvenile Justice, etc. as required. Assists in planning and implementation of recreational, educational, and vocational activities. Provides crisis intervention as needed. As directed, acts as FCSA community liaison to the professional and general community. Prepare as needed, Respite home staff schedules. Responsible for Supervision of all Respite Home Counselors, including preparation of performance evaluations. Ensures that all charting, reporting and other general administrative tasks are complete. This includes client intake and discharge paperwork. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in psychology, social work, justice, guidance and counseling, sociology, education or other human service field. Equivalent work and/or educational experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis. Two years of experience working with children who experience a mental health disability. (When substituting educational experience 30 college credits will be considered equal to one year of substitute experience). Administrative experience preferred. Ability to use computers and common software applications. Meets all licensing requirements as delineated by the Alaska Administrative Code 7 AAC 50.210 and

AAC 50.220.

Successful completion of the Residential Child Care Worker, (RCCW) training series within 6 months of assumption of duties. Interpersonal skills adequate to work effectively as a member of a treatment team. Personal characteristics suitable to serve as a positive role model and provide culturally appropriate services to clients. Freedom from criminal convictions that may adversely affect the employee's ability to work safely with children, contingent on a fingerprint & background records check conducted by the State of Alaska Division of Health Care Services Background Check Unit. Current Alaska driver's license, personal vehicle insurance, and driving history that allows for insurability by FCSA auto insurance carrier. Current first aid and CPR certificate or ability to become certified. Physical ability to employ Verbal and Physical aggression control techniques after being certified. (Ability to Physically Restrain adolescent clients). This may require you to bend your knees, extend arms and shoulders and other physical movements necessary to safely restrain a client. This position is a driving position . Applicants will be required to submit a driving record if selected for the position. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to State of AK regulations and must pass a State of AK Background Check.
