Bluestone Building is a Birmingham, Al residential contractor focused on architectural upper bracket new construction, remodeling and renovation projects from $ 400,000 to over $ 3,000,000. We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, be able to manage 1

• 3 projects at any given time, understand detailed construction plans, and maintain timely project schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and implementation
• Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards
• Monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met
• Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee work meets standards
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
• Cost management
• Review of shop drawings
• Quality control
• Preparation of punch lists and the execution of minor punch list work as needed to meet schedule and budget
• Maintaining an orderly and clean job site is mandatory

Skills:

• Strong understanding of construction documents, minor estimating and budgeting
• Daily review and assessments of work completed each day
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively work with architects and owners
