Job Description
Company Overview Local electrical contractor seeking experienced Commercial Electrical Superintendents to lead projects in and around the Decatur/Huntsville, AL area. We provide the tools, support, and team needed for you to succeed on every job. Position Summary Lead on-site electrical construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specification. Act as primary field leader and liaison between project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and owner representatives. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily field operations and crews; enforce safety and quality standards. Coordinate schedule, manpower, material deliveries, and equipment to meet project milestones. Read and interpret electrical drawings, submittals, and specifications; communicate changes to crews. Perform spot checks, quality control inspections, and punch-list management. Communicate daily with project managers regarding progress, issues, and change orders. Mentor and train foremen and field staff; maintain crew productivity and morale. Use Excel and company mobile devices (iPhone/iPad) for reporting, timekeeping, and documentation. Ensure compliance with company safety programs and OSHA requirements. Assist with job closeout, as-built documentation, and turnover. Qualifications 10-15+ years electrical/construction experience preferred. Proven track record as an electrical superintendent on commercial projects. Dependable with a strong work history; able to pass drug screening. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable using iPhone and iPad for field tasks. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
