Construction Superintendent/SSHO

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Superintendent/SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer), where you'll lead on-site safety, project execution, and team supervision to ensure successful project delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee complex construction projects, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Your expertise will drive safety excellence, quality standards, and efficient project management, making a tangible impact on our construction operations. Duties Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, plans, and specifications. Enforce strict adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and company safety policies as the designated SSHO. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all team members follow safety protocols. Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and guide field operations. Supervise construction site personnel, providing leadership in managing tasks related to pipeline projects or heavy civil infrastructure. Monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tools to ensure timely completion. Requirements Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in heavy civil or pipeline projects. Extensive knowledge of construction management practices, safety standards (OSHA certification required), and quality assurance procedures. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Supervising experience with a focus on team leadership and coordination of subcontractors and vendors. Strong understanding of project scheduling principles using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools. Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections on-site. Excellent communication skills for clear documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
