Superintendent A Pearce Construction Superintendent is capable of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a commercial construction site while also self-performing specific work tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, leadership skills, and the ability to manage construction projects effectively from start to finish. This role will involve direct involvement in construction activities, managing field operations, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the on-site construction team. Coordinating and overseeing all work on site. Attending production meetings. Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these. Ensuring quality standards are met. Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site. Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met. Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs. Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals. Coordination with office project manager and adherence to project schedules.

Construction Superintendent Requirements:

Proficient at verbal and written communication with owners, clients, design professionals, project managers, etc. Proficient with the use of email. Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs. Ability to lift 40 pounds and to operate heavy equipment. Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organizational skills.
