Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Craftsman to oversee, self perform and help manage small commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be self motivated and possess strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of construction methods, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. will be responsible for helping to coordinate the efforts of the construction team, managing resources, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Lead on-site construction efforts, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. Collaborate with project manager to develop project schedules and budgets. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Conduct regular inspections of work performed, ensuring quality control and adherence to blueprints and schematics. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks. Assist in budgeting efforts for projects. Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Manage tools and inventory of construction shop and lockup area. Skills Strong self starter. Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools and principles, basic understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and estimating. Blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret drawings accurately. Demonstrate and identify quality work within a construction setting. Familiarity with basic mechanics is a plus. Leadership capabilities in working with and guiding other personnel effectively.
