As an experienced Superintendent, you will be responsible for large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance. You will also anticipate client needs and provide solutions, share expertise and mentor colleagues. Essential Responsibilities:
Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff
Qualifications:
Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or a similar role Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction a plus Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices Effective communication and leadership skills Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues Strong organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions:
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.) This is a site-based position that will require travel as needed to various Ledcor offices and project sites across multiple states on a travel rotation Additional Information Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks that span North America and beyond.
