Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE
To oversee and manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the Design and Operations and Improvement Development Divisions of the Department of the Parks and Recreation, to include the construction, operation and development of park improvement projects to ensure the development is in compliance with the park master plans and the design and construction of the parks and facilities are environmentally, aesthetically and economically feasible within the City of Little Rock. This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening. For a complete list of essential job functions, please click HERE. These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Landscape Design, or a related field; four (4) years of experience in General Construction, Engineering Design, Architecture Design, or Parks Design to include two (2) years of demonstrated project/construction management experience, or a related area, and two (2) years of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
