Assistant Superintendent - TEMPO By Hilton Makan Hospitality Management LLC North Little Rock, AR Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $90,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Hospitality Teamwork Outdoor work experience Attention to detail Time management Full Job Description Join Our Team We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our construction team for the new Tempo by Hilton hotel currently under development in North Little Rock. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in bringing a new hotel development from active construction through final completion and opening. The Assistant Superintendent will work alongside the Project Superintendent and construction leadership team to coordinate daily jobsite activities, oversee subcontractor progress, maintain quality and safety standards, and help keep the project on schedule. We are looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the field , takes initiative, communicates well, and has a strong eye for quality and detail. What You'll Do Assist the Project Superintendent with daily oversight of construction activities and jobsite operations. Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other project partners. Monitor subcontractor progress to ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Conduct regular jobsite walks to identify incomplete work, quality concerns, safety issues, and potential delays. Help coordinate construction sequencing between trades to maintain project momentum. Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work. Assist with scheduling and coordinating inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor activities. Maintain accurate daily reports, progress photos, field notes, and other project documentation. Help ensure a clean, organized, professional, and safe construction site. Communicate potential construction conflicts or schedule concerns to project leadership. Monitor material deliveries and assist with ensuring materials are available when needed. Support project quality-control efforts and verify that completed work meets expectations. Assist with guest room, public space, back-of-house, and exterior inspections as construction nears completion. Develop and track punch-list items and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure deficiencies are corrected. Assist with final inspections, project closeout, hotel turnover, and opening preparation. Perform additional construction and project-related responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For Previous experience in commercial construction, general contracting, construction supervision, or a related field preferred. Hospitality or hotel construction experience is a plus. Working knowledge of commercial construction methods and jobsite operations. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively coordinate multiple subcontractors and priorities. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced construction environment. Basic proficiency with computers, email, smartphones, and construction/project documentation. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Physical Requirements This position requires regular work on an active construction site, including prolonged periods of standing and walking. Candidates must be comfortable navigating stairs, uneven surfaces, and various areas of an active construction project. The position may involve working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires adherence to all jobsite safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
