Job Description
Role Overview Location:
Coolidge, AZ (South of Phoenix/Chandler/Gilbert)Status:
Full-Time, Salary The Project Manager oversees all activities related to the construction and fabrication of assigned steel-girder projects. You will lead or coordinate with a team of Project Coordinators and Administrators to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Financial Management:
Utilize judgment and experience to manage purchasing, labor, equipment, and transportation costs. Ensure full cost estimates maintain appropriate profit margins.Contractual Compliance:
Oversee all contractual terms and ensure obligations are met. Properly account for project change orders and protect the company's interests through thorough documentation.Budget Oversight:
Meet with the VP of PM or Executive VP of Operations if costs exceed budget; obtain necessary approvals before authorizing out-of-budget expenditures.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Sales and Pre-construction teams to understand project scope and deadlines. Interface with internal departments to schedule work and materials.Stakeholder Relations:
Meet with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors to verify the accuracy of construction drawings. Coordinate with vendors to resolve production barriers.Reporting & Site Visits:
Prepare management reports and visit job sites as required, including occasional out-of-state travel.Background & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Business is preferred (and can substitute for 3 years of experience).Experience:
- 5-10 years as a Project/Construction Manager or Estimator in structural steel.
Note:
Fabricator or erector experience may substitute for detailing/drafting requirements.Technical Skills:
Strong computer/communication skills; experience with Fabtrol MRP and estimating is highly desired.Licensing:
Valid driver's license required.Specialized Knowledge & Skills Standards:
General knowledge ofAISC/PCI
standards andAWS D1.1/D1.5
codes.Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read/interpret shop and design blueprints; general knowledge of 3D modeling/Tekla systems.Project Leadership:
Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale commercial or industrial projects simultaneously while meeting stringent deadlines.Pay:
$30.00- $60.
