Full-time, on-site | Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week | Immediate start available About the role We are looking for an experienced superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on custom homes and commercial projects in Sedona and the Verde Valley. You will guide work from site preparation through final completion, coordinate trade partners, and keep the team informed so projects stay on schedule, within budget, and built to the plans. Lawler Construction has served the area since 1985. Our work includes custom and luxury homes as well as commercial construction. We value quality craftsmanship, honest communication, and people who take ownership of their work. What you will do Coordinate subcontractors and field crews, set daily priorities, and confirm upcoming work, deliveries, and site readiness. Maintain the construction schedule and two-week lookaheads. Identify delays, missing information, and decisions early, and work with the project team to resolve them. Read plans and specifications, verify work in the field, and address quality issues before they lead to rework. Track punch-list items through completion. Coordinate inspections, utilities, and site requirements with inspectors, architects, engineers, public works, and utility providers. Keep daily logs, photos, and project records current. Prepare requests for information and follow up until questions are resolved. Identify scope changes and document their cost and schedule impacts. Coordinate change-order approval with the project team before changed work proceeds. Lead jobsite safety, address hazards promptly, and maintain an orderly site. Monitor applicable stormwater pollution prevention plan requirements. Communicate clearly with homeowners, trade partners, and the office. Mentor junior team members and hold crews accountable for workmanship and follow-through. What you bring At least 5 years of superintendent experience in residential and/or commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documents. Experience with site preparation, underground utilities, stormwater drainage, and construction sequencing. Strong field leadership and organization, with a track record of coordinating trades and following through on commitments. Clear, professional communication with clients, homeowners, subcontractors, and coworkers. Comfort using email, PDFs, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage daily work. Professional references from previous employers and trade contractors. Helpful experience Experience with custom or luxury homes is especially relevant to our work. Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar construction management software is a plus. Training is available if needed. Pay and benefits Annual salary of $70,000-$100,000, depending on experience, plus biannual incentive bonuses. Seven paid holidays.

Paid vacation:

one week after one year, two weeks after three years, and three weeks after five years. Health maintenance program Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week.
