We are currently recruiting Construction Supervisor to work with and strengthen our Ashusa LTD team based in the Tempe Arizona office. Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the Construction Supervisor's daily activities at a specific site. With a focus on ensuring safety and timely execution of key milestones. Promote safety. Assist the Construction Director in completing challenging and singular construction projects, including fieldwork and onsite administrative duties. Direct junior employees, subcontractors, and vendors in the onsite execution of projects Control project administration in a correct and timely manner -what does this mean? …to meet key milestones for the different Project Works with purchasing and support them ordering materials and equipment. Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, and training fellow department employees. Assesses safety and finance goals. Responsible for planning and allocating work, making decisions, monitoring performance and compliance, providing leadership, building teamwork and ensuring workforce involvement. Manages sub-contractors on-site in coordination with the Construction Supervisor at the specific site and ensures safe practices. Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews Knowledge of building and construction practices. Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures. Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope. Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases. Prevents fines and work interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures. Schedules work and inspection phases with contractor's superintendent and agency personnel. Schedule, conduct, and prepare documentation for substantial completion and final completion inspections, including punch lists. Advises contractors of violations and recommends adjustments to operations. Control field measurements to verify contractor billing; checks placement of and performs quality reviews of construction. Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions or provide Project cost savings. Maintains project records which include daily diaries, materials notebooks, as-built plans, and pay quantity records. Submit the information and reports timely. Schedule and budget goal oriented. Always looking for the Project's improvement opportunities. Witness and document acceptance testing at various stages of construction. Review project closeout documents, warranties, and final payment requests. Perform additional construction phase services as required. Perform site visits as needed, as per the direction of the Construction Director. 50% travel time required. Education High school diploma or equivalent 5 years' experience working in the construction field. A valid driver's license from the state of residence is required. Personal Skills Ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings. Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines.
