Position Summary:
The Site Coordinator (SC) will oversee the school site and provide a quality educational environment that meets the need of all students. The SC will serve as a member of the administrative team, but will also provide students with the academic support needed to cultivate excellence throughout the school and the community. The SC will participate in the development and implementation of the enrollment process and completion of success steps for prospective students. As a SC you are responsible for establishing an effective work place and school culture. The SC will provide adequate supervision and acceptable student behavior at all school functions planned and operated by school personnel. SC delegates and monitors the adherence to rules and procedures for staff and student safety. SC plans appropriately to anticipate future building and equipment needs. This position requires the ability to engage students in dynamic and interactive lessons, supporting individual learning goals in both online and in-person environments, while aligning with Arizona state standards. Key responsibilities will include any duties as needed and as directed by their supervisor. This is a 12-month position. (This is not a supervisory position)Key Duties Site Coordinator:
1. Interacts, listens, and responds appropriately to staff, students, and community concerns. 2. Promotes and ensures a culture of urgency by celebrating progress while maintaining a focus on continued improvement. 3. Maintains high visibility at the school site. 4. Documents all student and parent communications. 5. Guides conversations with parents around information regarding academic metrics. 6. Promotes improvement of staff and student self-image. Models and facilitates good relationships skills and effectively interacts with others. 7. Ensures the community is informed about school activities through newsletters, emails, and student and parent attendance. 8. Maintains communication with the appropriate central office administrators informed of school activities and problems such as discipline or other site issues. 9. Maintains a culture where the team systematically assess and monitors student progress using objective and verifiable information. 10. Works with staff to systematically identify and respond to at risk students and provide the necessary academic support. 11. Provides meaningful information to parent/guardians and others regarding student progress 12. Maintains policies and practices for grading, reporting, and promoting. 13. Uphold all local, state, and federal regulations and policies governing schools. 14. Orient new students and parents through the school outreach program and various guidance services, to assist with transition planning from traditional school to AZ Jr/Sr High School. 15. Take responsibility and use tact and good judgement in fulfilling responsibilities. 16. Demonstrate skill on a variety of computer applications, including sord processing, database, spreadsheets, and academic platforms. 17. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. 18. Conduct the enrollment process for new and returning students 19. Perform responsible and difficult clerical work with accuracy, speed, and minimal supervision 20. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and cope with frequent interruptions with ease. 21. Analyze situations accurately and adopt and effective course of action in a timely manner. 22. Deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness, poise, and firmness. 23. Conduct support meetings with students to re-engage and retain. 24. Demonstrates commitment to students and learning. 25. Excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills, high sense of urgency, demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently, ability to work as a team. 26. Strong communications skillsKey Duties Lab Manager:
v Student Support and Supervision Monitor and assist students in the computer lab with completing online coursework. Provide one-on-one or small-group support to reinforce understanding of instructional content. Redirect and guide students to stay on task and meet academic expectations. Encourage positive behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment. v Instructional Assistance Assist the assigned teacher with preparing and distributing instructional materials. Support the delivery of lessons by reinforcing concepts and facilitating student engagement. Assist with grading assignments, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records. Provide feedback to the teacher regarding student performance and behavior. v Classroom and Lab Management Maintain a structured and organized lab environment conducive to learning. Ensure students follow classroom and school policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Assist with managing and troubleshooting technology and online learning platforms. v Administrative and Support Duties Assist in maintaining accurate student attendance and participation records. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, as needed. Support with other assigned duties, including but not limited to, supervising students during breaks, transitions, and dismissal times.Additional Duties:
1. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their student's progress. 2. Tutoring provided to students within the outlying areas. 3. Reiterate the importance of enforcing all student policies and rules and remind the staff of their crucial role in maintaining a disciplined learning environment. 4. Completing any additional duties in a timely manner. 5. Team Members are required to travel to our site locations (Camp Verde, Phoenix, Tucson, Cottonwood, or Prescott Valley) for professional development and/or training. 6. All team members are required to be present at our school graduation.Qualifications:
1. Minimum High School Diploma 2. Preferred Associates Degree in Education or Business 3. Preferred Paraprofessional Certification 4. Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. 5. Ability to work independently with all levels of community members. 6. Previous experience in an educational field or business field. 7. Excellent communication and writing skills. 8. Bilingual highly preferred.Physical Abilities:
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Job Type:
