Full Job Description Hi-Tech Structural Steel Superintendent Location:
Phoenix, AZ (Relocation Available)Pay:
$100,000 - $135,000+ Base + Bonus + Full Benefits Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Hi-Tech Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale mission critical, data center, semiconductor, industrial, and high-tech construction projects . This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, managing large crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, ironwork, industrial construction, structural steel, data center construction, semiconductor facilities, or mission critical environments and thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability job sites. This position requires strong leadership, communication, manpower planning, equipment coordination, and operational execution skills. Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction & Field Operations Lead all on-site construction activities for hi-tech and mission critical projects Manage day-to-day field operations, workforce productivity, and job site logistics Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors Develop and execute strategic erection and construction plans Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved Oversee structural steel, industrial, and hi-tech construction activities Monitor job progress, production forecasting, and labor efficiency Leadership & Crew Management Supervise crews of 50+ field employees and foremen Recruit, interview, train, mentor, discipline, and promote field personnel Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement Provide leadership coaching and support to foremen and crews Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA, NCCER, and company safety standards Conduct safety meetings and proactively address job site hazards Ensure all crews operate safely in high-risk industrial environments Maintain compliance with all safety-sensitive position requirements Equipment & Resource Management Manage and coordinate 20+ pieces of heavy equipment on-site Determine manpower requirements and allocate labor resources efficiently Assist with job costing, budgeting, and production forecasting Support operational planning to maximize profitability and productivity Client & Stakeholder Communication Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and leadership teams Attend project meetings and provide progress updates and reporting Maintain professional relationships with customers and project stakeholders Handle early morning, evening, and urgent communications as needed QualificationsRequired Experience 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent OR 5+ years of experience as a General Foreman in industrial or commercial construction Extensive field experience in ironwork, structural steel, industrial, mission critical, or hi-tech construction Experience leading large-scale crews in fast-paced environments Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and manpower planning Preferred Industry Background Candidates with experience in the following industries are highly preferred: Data Centers Semiconductor Facilities Mission Critical Construction Industrial Construction Structural Steel Manufacturing Facilities Hi-Tech Construction Projects Technical Skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) Construction scheduling and workforce planning Job costing and production forecasting Safety compliance and hazard recognition Equipment coordination and logistics management Core Competencies Leadership & Team Management Construction Project Coordination Safety Management & OSHA Compliance Problem Solving & Decision Making Communication & Client Relations Workforce Planning & Scheduling Industrial & Mission Critical Construction Expertise Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and maintain balance on elevated structures Ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work extended hours as needed Certifications & Education High School Diploma or GED required NCCER Superintendent Certification required OSHA training strongly preferred Schedule Requirements Must be flexible to work a 60/60/50 schedule Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime based on project demands Why Join Us?
