Construction Coordinator Reports to: Executive Director (ultimately Director of Construction & Development)

Angels Camp / Eureka Oaks + field work throughout Calaveras County Position Summary Habitat for Humanity Calaveras is seeking a collaborative, solutions-oriented Construction Coordinator to support and strengthen construction-related programs during a period of rapid organizational growth. This role balances field coordination with administrative responsibility and is ideal for someone comfortable working on job sites, managing project details, and helping build systems that support long-term scalability. The Construction Coordinator will support Critical Home Repair, Neighborhood Revitalization, and volunteer-supported construction activities while working cross-functionally with Volunteer Services, Finance, Resource Development, and leadership. As Habitat Calaveras delivers the largest Habitat development in California, this role contributes to building the operational structure needed to support increasing project volume and volunteer engagement. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys building both projects and processes and wants to grow with an organization expanding its impact. Key Responsibilities Home Repair Program Coordination Manage pipeline of Critical Home Repair projects from intake to completion Utilize Habitat policies and program guidelines to scope and prioritize projects Conduct project walkthroughs to assess feasibility, scope, and resource needs Coordinate materials, contractors, and volunteers to execute projects Track timelines, budgets, and completion status Work with Finance and Resource Development to align projects with available funding sources and grant requirements Neighborhood Revitalization Identify and support Neighborhood Revitalization opportunities across Calaveras County Coordinate projects in partnership with Volunteer Services and community partners Help develop scalable approaches to neighborhood-based initiatives Project & Volunteer Coordination Work closely with Volunteer Services to align volunteers with project needs Identify where Key Volunteers and skilled volunteers can contribute effectively Support development of volunteer leadership capacity in coordination with Volunteer Services and the Construction Committee Structure projects so volunteers can participate safely and productively Construction Committee Collaboration Engage the Construction & Home Repair Committee for technical input and problem-solving Provide updates on project pipeline, risks, and resource needs Leverage committee expertise to strengthen project planning and execution Safety & Field Operations Support implementation of Habitat safety standards across projects Work with HR and Accounting to ensure the Safety Plan is current and utilized Reinforce job site safety expectations with volunteers and project participants Assist in developing Key Volunteers as Competent Safety Trainers Cross-Department Coordination Work collaboratively with Finance and Resource Development to understand funding parameters tied to specific projects Help ensure projects align with program requirements and compliance standards Field & Administrative Balance Maintain organized documentation of project scope, progress, and outcomes Identify opportunities to improve workflows and coordination as the organization grows Support development of processes that improve efficiency and clarity Ideal Candidate Familiarity with construction environments, trades, or handyman-level experience desired Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable balancing field work with administrative coordination Collaborative team player who communicates well across departments Comfortable working with volunteers of varying skill levels Willing to learn existing processes while helping improve them Comfortable working in an evolving environment Able to adjust priorities as organizational needs shift Positive attitude and willingness to contribute where needed Position will have physical labor at times on site, able to stand/lift is necessary Familiarity with local contractors or construction community is a plus Key Attributes for Success Strong sense of ownership and follow-through Practical problem-solver able to move projects forward Detail-oriented while maintaining momentum Flexible and adaptable Positive, solutions-oriented mindset Interested in helping build structure within a growing organization Why This Role Matters This role supports Habitat Calaveras' ability to serve more families while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
