Job Description

SIA Systems is seeking a full-time Security Alarm Lead Technician. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.
Position Requirements:
Over 8 years of experience in construction and low voltage installation, including 5+ years installing security systems in commercial settings and 5+ years in leadership or project management roles. Holds a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid California driver's license, and proof of auto insurance. •Subject to a required background check in compliance with state and local regulations.
Responsibilities :
Establishes objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards to achieve project scope as outlined in contract documents. Analyzes bid documents, including drawings and specifications, along with existing site conditions. Identifies risks within the scope of work to ensure all associated costs are accounted for. Manages all pre-construction requirements to ensure efficiency and profitability. Understands the processes for RFIs, change orders, and progress billing. Clearly defines and manages labor hours, material procurement, equipment needs, and customer reporting requirements. Coordinates the deployment of electricians with the appropriate materials and equipment, providing ongoing direction to complete the project scope. Conducts site visits as needed, including pre-bid surveys, kick-off meetings, progress inspections, punch list reviews, and project turnovers. Oversees advanced project troubleshooting, programming, contract review, procurement, budget and cost monitoring, as well as team performance and development.
Essential Functions:
Oversees the final project inspection to ensure compliance with code, client contracts, and quality standards. Manages project budgets, tracks budget changes throughout the project's lifecycle, submits change orders, adjusts work-in-progress (WIP), and processes billing to maintain the project's financial health. Facilitates performance reviews to foster team growth and development, regularly meeting with team members to assess their progress and clearly communicate management's expectations.

Develops the onboarding plan and defines the expectations of new team members and identifies and schedules any training and/or certifications needed for team.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Requires repetitive substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Must be able to walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak. Ability to drive for over 2 hours per work shift/day. Must be capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying temperature conditions. Work environments may include offices, construction sites, commercial buildings, and high-rise structures.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in the security, electrical, or construction industries is preferred. Must have the ability and knowledge to use basic hand tools, including familiarity with their names. Must be detail-oriented, able to maintain a clean and organized work area. Must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check, including FBI Live Scan. Must be authorized to work in the USA. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing ladders over 30 feet with fall protection. Must be willing to work in confined attic and crawl spaces. Must be fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

30.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment
Work Location:
This position requires extensive driving to various job sites across Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange Counties.
