This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be on the move, on job sites, and in the middle of how high-end residential construction actually happens — with a real path to grow. What you'll do day-to-day Pick up and deliver materials from suppliers (Ganahl Lumber, Home Depot, Dunn-Edwards, tile and stone yards, plumbing and electrical supply houses) Coordinate and confirm scheduled deliveries to job sites; receive and verify orders against packing lists Place orders by phone, email, or in-person as directed Run between active job sites across LA to drop off materials, tools, paperwork, or check on progress Track receipts, delivery tickets, and small expenses; submit clean documentation weekly Communicate throughout the day via text and email with the owner and office Keep job sites organized; problem-solve in real time when something is missing, late, or wrong Support leadership so they can focus on managing active construction What you bring to the role 2+ years of exposure to residential construction (worked for a GC, subcontractor, supply house, or completed a construction management program) Valid California driver's license and clean driving record Reliable vehicle (truck or SUV strongly preferred — mileage reimbursed; company vehicle possible for the right person after trial period) Solid familiarity with construction materials and terminology — you can walk into a lumber yard or supply house and hold your own Strong organizational skills — you track what you said you'd do and follow through without reminders Clear communicator by text and email — short, accurate updates throughout the day Comfortable being trusted with a company credit card and representing the firm at supplier accounts Background check required before start The role and the growth path This position is the operational backbone that keeps active jobs moving — logistics, coordination, supplier relationships, and on-site support. The owner runs construction; an internal team handles financial project management and subcontractor administration. We're looking for someone who wants to learn this business from a builder with 15+ years in LA design-build, take on more responsibility over time, and step into broader project management work as they earn it. Compensation $35-45/hr DOE during trial period, transitioning to permanent salary upon successful fit. Mileage reimbursement on personal vehicle use. This is an immediate opening — we're ready to move quickly for the right person. No agencies. Local candidates only — must be based in LA County.
