THE COMPANY
We are recruiting on behalf of a commercial general contractor based in North County San Diego, working across California and Arizona. We are not naming the company publicly. You will get the full company profile, the leadership team, and current project list on your first call with us.What we can tell you:
- Commercial general contracting. Hospitality and restaurants, hotels, retail, industrial and warehouse, multifamily, tenant improvements, occupied renovations, and select ground-up builds.
- Project sizes run $1 million to $10 million.
- Small team. You will work directly with company ownership, not four layers below it.
- The company is growing and hiring across every level at once, which is why all five of these seats are open at the same time.
- They run documented internal career pathways for both the field and office tracks. Advancement is mapped, not implied.
- Their stated priorities are clear communication, coordination, quality, and safety.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

SUPERINTENDENT
— 2 OPENINGS $100,000- 135,000 depending on experience
Location:
Based in North County San Diego. Travel required. Active projects in Orange County and Northern California.Schedule:
Full-time. On site daily for the duration of each project, plus travel to project locations.What you will do:
- Run day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects
- Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and enforce OSHA, state, and federal requirements
- Direct, schedule, and coordinate subcontractor work
- Build, update, and distribute project schedules and 3-week look-aheads
- Run foreman's meetings and weekly subcontractor coordination and safety meetings
- Read and coordinate architectural, structural, MPE, civil, and fire plans
- Review submittals and shop drawings with the project management team
- Resolve field issues through the RFI process
- Document daily activity: manpower, site conditions, deliveries, constraints, inspections, field issues
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, permits, and agency sign-offs
- Maintain quality assurance from mobilization through closeout What you need:
- 5+ years as a Superintendent on commercial projects
- OSHA 30
- Clean driving record
- Strong plan reading
- Willingness to travel to project sites
Software:
Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, or comparable. If you have run jobsites but learned on different software, they will train you.Strong fits:
industrial, data center, or QA/QC field leadership backgrounds. Also Assistant Superintendents and General Foremen with 5+ years who are ready for the title and have not been given it. 2.PROJECT MANAGER

Full-time. Office-based with regular jobsite visits and client travel.What you will do:
- Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and internal team
- Own schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, meeting minutes, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Lead OAC and project coordination meetings with real agendas and follow-through
- Build schematic budgets, detailed estimates, and realistic timelines
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, subcontractor proposals, and project risk
- Manage subcontract negotiations, buyout, and trade partner coordination
- Support owner and subcontractor billing, cost tracking, and profit forecasting
- Coordinate punchlist, closeout, and turnover
- Help build company systems, templates, and repeatable workflows as the company grows What you need:
- 6+ years commercial construction experience
- Experience managing projects as the Project Manager, not supporting one
- Strong understanding of commercial means and methods
- Estimating skills covering both conceptual budgets and detailed estimates
- Ability to run client and project meetings independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Preferred:

- RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes
- Estimating and constructability reviews
- Job mobilization, scheduling, site and material logistics
- Subcontract negotiations and buyout support
- Subcontractor and owner billings
- Change management and cost reporting
- Punchlist, closeout, and turnover What you need:
- Commercial construction experience in a project support or coordination role
- Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, buyout, and scheduling
- Procore or comparable construction software
- Organized, able to hold multiple deadlines This is the middle rung of a mapped career path.
PROJECT ENGINEER

Full-time. Office-based.What you will do:
- Support the Project Manager on planning, coordination, and conflict resolution
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and proposals
- Quantity take-offs and estimating for self-performed and subcontracted work
- Schematic estimating and project scheduling
- Gather and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and manage owner and subcontractor billings
- Manage and process submittals and RFIs
- Analyze alternative construction methods to increase efficiency What you need:
- Organized and task-oriented in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to read construction drawings
Software:
