• On-site About Our Client Our client is a growing, vertically integrated real estate development and construction company based in Fresno. Their team handles projects from start to finish: land planning, entitlements, design, construction management, capital and asset management. They build retail, quick-service restaurant, hospitality, multifamily and commercial projects across California's Central Valley. They're a close-knit, fast-moving team that values organization, follow-through and people who take ownership of their work. The Role Our client is looking for a Preconstruction Coordinator to support their Estimator/Project Manager during the bidding process. This person will coordinate, track, organize and follow up on preconstruction tasks, so the Estimator/PM can focus on estimating, pricing, contracts and project decisions. What You'll Do New projects Review plans and project information, and identify the trades each project needs Build and verify subcontractor lists Send bid invitations using the company's templates Make sure plans, specifications, addenda and links are organized and easy for bidders to access Bid tracking and follow-up Record every subcontractor invited and track their status: Bidding, Not Bidding, Pending or No Response Follow up by email and phone on a set schedule (1-2 days after the invitation, 3-4 days later, and as the deadline gets close) Watch trade coverage, spot missing scopes, and flag trades that need more attention Before the bid deadline Confirm outstanding subcontractors and chase down missing quotes Organize the proposals that come in, and flag any that are incomplete or questionable Give the Estimator/PM a clear understanding of bid coverage After bids close Organize and save subcontractor proposals correctly Help compare and level bids Keep complete, organized bid records for future reference Administrative PM support Keep the bid tracking spreadsheet and other project spreadsheets up to date in Excel Handle document control, data entry, contact records and project folders Track bid due dates, follow-up dates and other deadlines, and raise upcoming ones with the Estimator/PM Help with project communication and general coordination as needed What This Role Is Not This is a coordination and support role. You won't be expected to price estimates, pick subcontractors, negotiate contracts, manage owners, set budgets, or run projects on your own. When something complicated comes up, you flag it and bring it to the Estimator/PM.
