Job Description
We are a Commercial General Contractor seeking two experienced Project Superintendents, one to manage and oversee a ground-up (public) project located in Irvine, CA and the other for a upcoming commercial construction project in Redlands, CA. A minimum of 10 years of commercial construction field experience is required. Public works, HCAI and DSA experience are highly desirable. Candidates must be comfortable utilizing construction technology for project planning, scheduling, coordination, documentation, and execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex commercial construction projects involving multiple trades, demanding schedules, and detailed plans, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day construction activities to support successful project completion. Coordinate subcontractor activities, sequencing, site logistics, and schedules to maintain project progress and meet contractual requirements. Work closely with subcontractor representatives to coordinate trades, sequencing, schedules, site logistics, and quality requirements to support project completion. Monitor subcontracted work for conformance with plans, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, contractual requirements, and applicable codes. Communicate scheduling requirements, site logistics, quality standards, safety requirements, plans, specifications, and other project-related information to subcontractor representatives and the project team. Identify issues involving schedule, quality, coordination, or conformance of subcontracted work with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements, and communicate those issues to the appropriate subcontractor representative and project management personnel for resolution. Perform and document quality inspections and coordinate resolution of work that does not conform to plans, specifications, or other applicable project requirements. Monitor project schedules, milestones, and field conditions; identify potential delays, conflicts, or coordination concerns; and assist in developing appropriate corrective measures. Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site access, project resources, and construction activities among the project team and subcontractors. Assist with RFIs, constructability concerns, design coordination, change orders, and resolution of field conditions. Monitor project expenditures and provide field information necessary to identify potential budget or schedule variances. Support compliance with applicable building codes, contractual requirements, plans, specifications, and site procedures. Support jobsite construction safety by following applicable project safety procedures and regulatory requirements, communicating jobsite safety requirements to appropriate subcontractor representatives, and identifying and reporting observed construction safety hazards through established project channels. Maintain accurate project and field documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and other applicable construction-management technology. Skills and Qualifications Minimum 10 years of commercial construction field experience Commercial construction scheduling and coordination Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software Procore Bluebeam OSHA 30 certification Quality management Trade coordination Delegation and organizational skills Knowledge of ADA requirements Strong attention to detail Quality-focused approach Experience coordinating building trades and civil/site work.
