Job Description

Under the direction of the VP, Construction, the Coordinator, Construction will provide support to the Construction department by overseeing the execution of construction projects including resource, budget, bidding and contract management. The incumbent collaborates with the project team, Managers, Regional Partners and vendors in identifying key project issues and is responsible for overseeing many of the day to day construction operation systems and providing guidance to a team committed to achieving the project goals. Responsibilities Manage construction project orders and ensure timely execution of projects by evaluating project timing and resource management, includes construction project setup and directing employees. Evaluate and maintain project standards by overseeing project budget requirements. Create and sign off purchase orders of $100,000. Write and negotiate AIA contracts, includes reviewing negotiated conditions and processing to subcontractors. Prepare pro forma project budgets by conducting project requirement analysis and forecasting costs. Oversee the project bidding process by utilizing systems and formulas to recruit bidders, creating bid packages and making recommendations for pool of contractors. Analyze and audit lines of cost to ensure financial accuracy. Manage Procor project management system and department inventory system. Run and oversee PDS remodel processes and systems, includes working with Regional Partners and controllers on budgeting process. Evaluate equipment requirements and works with Regional Partners to ensure equipment orders and all lead time materials for project are prepared within budget. Facilitates project commitments and represents department in weekly meetings with Real Estate, De Novo, and Construction Project Managers by tracking project status. Identify key project issues and act as a liaison with vendors, prime contractors, real estate brokers, landlords, and Regional Partners in developing solutions to ensure timely project execution. Qualifications Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED). +3 years' of construction experience or equivalent training. Proficiency with Excel, MS Office Suite, MS Project and Internet Explorer. Experience in a customer service environment with exemplary phone skills. Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding standard building practices. Preferred Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college. Experience working in the construction industry.
