This is a construction project management role , not a software, IT, or product position. The ideal candidate brings direct experience in process piping, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction, along with the ability to develop business, build a client base, support sales efforts, and manage projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable wearing both hats: driving revenue opportunities and delivering projects successfully. What You'll Do Develop and maintain client relationships in the mechanical construction market Help identify and win new project opportunities Support sales efforts through client meetings, proposals, and ongoing relationship management Build strong partnerships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and industry contacts Represent the company professionally in the market and help grow the business over time Project Management Serve as the main point of contact between the company and the client throughout the project lifecycle Manage projects from early planning and estimating through execution and closeout Prepare estimates, proposals, change orders, and contract documentation Coordinate project execution with field leadership and internal teams Support procurement, scheduling, installation sequencing, billing, and cost control Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain communication across all stakeholders Internal Coordination Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service teams Coordinate internal resources to meet project goals, schedules, and customer expectations Provide leadership and direction throughout the life of each project Qualifications 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management, estimating, design, or related work Direct experience with process piping, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction projects Proven ability to develop business, build relationships, and help secure project work Strong client-facing skills and commercial judgment Experience managing projects ranging from $50,000 to $25M+ Ability to work independently and take ownership of both project and client outcomes Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with platforms such as Bluebeam, Smartsheet, JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Box, or similar tools is preferred Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred What Success Looks Like You can manage the full life cycle of a mechanical construction project You know how to build trust with clients and help generate repeat business You are comfortable balancing field coordination, financial oversight, and customer communication You understand both project execution and the business development side of the role Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, walk, sit, and conduct job site visits as needed Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or balancing during site walks Valid Class C driver's license required Regular and reliable attendance required Monday through Friday, with start times as early as 6:00 AM and end times as late as 7:00 PM , depending on project needs. Travel required between the primary office, branch offices, and active job sites based on business needs.
